The Pink Ball lands on October 18th, 2025, hosted by Isha Ambani and director Dr Nicholas Cullinan is already one of the most talked-about nights on the London calendar. Hosted at the British Museum, the setting alone has done half the work history, art, (whether theirs or not) and architecture all wrapped into one monumental statement. Prestige doesn’t need to be declared when the venue says it for you.
The theme pink, is more than just a colour mood. It’s a nod to the light and vibrancy of India, inspired by the museum’s closing exhibition, Ancient India: Living Tradition. Think soft powder pinks meeting the bold energy of deep fuchsia, swirling under the museum’s stone arches, it’s giving the wedding Carrie Bradshaw never got to have, only this time, the city is London and the guest list is powerfully global.
Speaking of which, around 800 guests are expected to fill the Great Court for a night of cocktails, dinner, and a silent auction, all in aid of fundraising for the British Museum. The ball committee reads like a dream team: Naomi Campbell, Idris Elba, Edward Enninful, Miuccia Prada, and Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, names that carry influence across fashion, philanthropy, and culture.
The concept works, it’s been proven in New York, Paris, and beyond. But the real question is: will the UK make it its own? Can this become more than just another high-profile night of beautiful people and big brands? Will it say something, about how we see culture, creativity, and inclusivity today? Or will it stay at surface level, all gloss, no grit?
What’s exciting is the potential. The Pink Ball could open up a new lane for London, one that bridges style and story, luxury and meaning. If done right, it could become the moment the city redefined what modern prestige looks like. Something less about exclusivity, and more about expression.
