MUSIC.

A short poem.

Music. The power of music. I've discussed this so many times. I've got lost so many times. I've allowed tears to flow so many times. Because of the melody. Because of the memory. Because my imagination takes over from reality. Port Antonio. I can relate. There's something about the construction. The production. The flow. The narrator. The beat. That instrument I can't quite work out. It makes me feel invincible like when I read that certain scripture. The blue skies help. The sun sets a different scene to the one in my head. The sun is the end. I'm still in the middle. I'm through one tunnel under the next. Life. It's subjective. It's determined by variables in my control and out. Forever pondering on the ones out. It's just a form of destruction. Or is it. Has my mind been too conditioned? Whatever I can think I can achieve. Fear, a manufactured concept. Live unapologetically. Nah. Apologies are a must if warranted. I'm breaking out. It's this song. It's the melody. It's the undertone. It's the storyteller. But then the song changes. A different scene plays out. A scene that I don't feel. A scene that's foreign. Port Antonio I've lived. I've experienced. I feel it deep. My heart wrenches. Maybe I've suppressed it. Maybe it's just that imagination going again. I don't know, but now, the sun has set. The moon is fixed. Somehow it's a different film. So is it the music? The setting? I think it's both. Nah. It's definitely the music.
