What inspired you to start your own fashion brand and how does it reflect your personal journey and values?

My brand was born out of a desire to celebrate the harmonious blend

of femininity and strength, where softness and grace coexist with

confidence and resilience. I wanted to design pieces that not only

embody elegance and grace but also resonate with women who are on

a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Whether you’re just

starting to step into your gracefulness for the first time, Abiké

understands that elegance is not confined to outward appearances but

is rooted in authenticity, intentionality, and the way you carry yourself

through the world. It's about redefining it on your own terms through

finding beauty in simplicity and sophistication. Starting this brand was also a way to challenge the norms I grew up with and to redefine what elegance means to me. It's about creating clothing that empowers women to feel beautiful and confident as well as a space that can bring aligned values to life.

 

How does your brand approach ethical fashion and sustainability in your designs and production process?

We prioritise locally sourced sustainable materials for both our products and packaging, while also collaborating with local artisans and talents. Our focus on circularity supports the circular economy, ensuring that every step of our process aligns with environmental responsibility. We communicate these values to our consumers through transparent messaging, providing care instructions like microfibre washing bags, and promoting slow fashion advocacy.

Furthermore, our marketing strategy emphasises sustainability, favouring digital platforms over print to minimise waste and reduce our ecological footprint.

Target Audience. Who is your intended customer and how do your

designs cater to their lifestyles and values?

Our intended customer is the modern woman who knows herself deeply and has confidently stepped into her grace. She is a woman who embraces her values, celebrates her individuality, and is unafraid to express her creativity through personal style. Our designs cater to her lifestyle by offering timeless, sophisticated pieces that have her feeling empowered and beautiful, without

compromising her principles. She appreciates modesty, understanding that sensuality is not necessarily defined by revealing attire, but more by the way that she carries herself. Our collections focus on clean lines, refined silhouettes, and luxurious fabrics that exude understated elegance, embodying the philosophy that "less is more." For her, fashion is not just about trends but about making mindful choices that reflect her identity and beliefs whilst navigating her daily life—whether she’s at work, attending an event, or spending time with loved ones.
